The Wedding Day
A little taste of what’s to come.
-
Cocktail; semi-formal. We want you to feel comfortable and gorgeous but with a little more effort than what you’d wear to the office. Refined, but without stress. Leave the Tux or Met Gala ball gown at home, but step up with an air of sophistication and look ace in photos.
-
For those staying at The Red Lion, we have booked shuttle buses to depart the venue at 12:05am.
If you are staying elsewhere, we recommend booking a taxi to come pick you up after midnight. There’s no Uber and very few cab call on demand, so best to book ahead!
-
Your kids are the best and we’d love to see them at the pub the night before and at lunch the day after. For the wedding itself, we have planned an adults-only celebration so please leave them at home. We have trusted recommendations for childcare and a few guests we know are looking to pool resources into a crèche so please do let us know if you’re in this boat and need help making arrangements.
Tour Bolton Abbey ruins
At the heart of Bolton Abbey Estate lies the Priory Church and 12th Century Ruins of an Augustinian Priory in its beautiful riverside setting.
This ruins and stepstones are a few minutes walk from the Tithe Barn. After the ceremony, we’ll be wandering down there for photographs, and we think you’d love to wander down and check it out too.
