A chance to get to know each other in a casual setting before the main event.
The Red Lion is a 15 minute drive from the wedding venue.
-
13 August: The Wedding Day
3pm | The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey
Please arrive by 2:45pm for a 3:00pm ceremony.

-
14 August: The Recovery Brunch and Pub Crawl
11:00am | Waddington Village Club
This is Imogen’s family village and she’d love to show it off. We’ll start off with a Bacon Butty brunch at the village club, then take you on a pub crawl stopping off at The Lower Buck, The Waddington Arms and The Higher Buck.
We understand you might be hitting the road to head off on another adventure, or might prefer to stay put nursing heads, so pop in for a little, a lot or not at all – whatever works for you!
More to do in the North

Higher Buck, Lower Buck, Waddington Arms – meet our local village pubs!
Exchange Coffee Company – brekky, plunger coffee and Imogen’s longest ever employer

-
Walk it
Pendle Hill
For the best views in the valley, head up Pendle Hill. The hill is famous for its links to the Pendle witch trials (1612) and the founding of the Quaker movement. Park on Barley Road, head past Pendleside Farm and up the path. This is a steep track, but there are plenty of alternative routes which are more forgiving on the knees.Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar
This scenic and very popular trail takes in riverside paths, waterfalls, sweeping views, and fascinating geology (made more popular by Harry Potter). It’s an 8km circular route and there’s usually a cute tea van at the end with the world’s grumpiest woman in it. Options for shorter, flat walks too! -
